This will prevent the Hotspot from starting using the netsh wlan start hostednetwork command.  What is causing the Hotspot to not start?  What should we do to help you with Windows and with us?  This can be done and there will be consequences.

Steps to troubleshoot Hotspot in command not starting in Windows 11 or running Windows 10, What should I do?

• Make sure your device is connected to WiFi: The WiFi USB adapter might be having trouble broadcasting the hotspot signal.  Because we didn't start as requested.  This results in a host connection error.  How can you connect to internet sharing using what options?  What should I do?



Use this option to connect to Bridge Connections in Windows:

You'll need at least 1 meter of LAN cable, don't you have it?  Buy now at this store address

You will need a UGREEN USB 3.0 adapter to your LAN from up to 1000mbp that can connect to any LAN or internet, don't have it?  Buy now at the store or ask for additional products.

You will need your TP-Link WiFi router that can connect LAN to USB purchased from your PC to do this, don't have it yet?  Buy now at the store only.

NOTE: Enabling Bridge Connections in Windows without configuring IP or DNS just works.



Use this option to share connections in Windows without Bridge Connections:

NOTE: To share your internet connection with others in Windows, you will need to configure IP or DNS settings first to do this.



Try running the command in Windows. If possible, it will take effect when the Hotspot starts up.

This solved the problem further.

Windows commands are listed below:

netsh wlan stop hostednetwork - Stop Hotspot connection on PC for sharing Wi-Fi with others

netsh interface set interface “Wi-Fi 2” disable - Disabling WiFi devices, will not affect the functionality of disabled Internet adapter devices on PC and Windows.

If you want to make your old laptop able to expand Wi-Fi.  The WiFi adapter must be turned off first.  Then type: netsh start hostednetwork.  and enable the Wi-Fi adapter for the connected device is considered to be able to use shared Wi-Fi.

netsh wlan start hostednetwork

timeout 60

netsh interface set interface “Wi-Fi 2” enable

exit
